Wartburg College is a liberal arts college of the Lutheran Church (ELCA). You don't have to be Lutheran, or even Christian, to appreciate the way a Wartburg education will help you discover meaning and purpose for your life. Many colleges work from a common creed or statement of belief where faith is imposed. Other colleges keep faith out of community life entirely. At Wartburg College, we use the Lutheran approach to education, which builds community around a lively and inclusive conversation of faith and learning. Wartburg College is dedicated to challenging and nurturing students for lives of leadership and service as a spirited expression of their faith and learning.

Located in the Midwestern United States, Wartburg College is in Waverly, Iowa. Wartburg is a residential campus, has a strong sense of community and inclusion, and is home to about 1,500 students. Because of it's size, Wartburg students are able to receive the attention and help that they deserve. Class sizes are small, averaging 18 students per class allowing students to excel in the classroom. Because of Wartburg's liberal arts background, Wartburg students are encouraged and are able to grow and explore all of their interests and talents. We are confident that from our list of over 50 different majors and programs we have a program for you. In addition, Wartburg recognizes the value of education and is dedicated to offerring scholarship opportunities for students that are based on academic merit and financial need. We hope that you will conisder Wartburg as a potential school to further your education.
