Needham, MA (PRWEB) June 11, 2013 - The College Board, a not-for-profit education organization, and CollegeWeekLive, a leading provider of virtual college admission events, invite Latino high school students to a bilingual college admission event titled Destino: Universidad, or Destination: College, to be held live online on Wednesday, June 12, 5–8 p.m. EDT.
This free online virtual event will offer tips for high school students on how they can take advantage of the summer before senior year to start preparing their college applications. In addition, this final event in the Destino: Universidad series for 2013 will offer specific advice for Puerto Rican students interested in studying at a college in the continental United States.
Destino: Universidad is a collaborative effort among universities, colleges, school districts and community-based organizations to provide Latino families with college planning resources. Presentations begin at 5 p.m. and continue in both Spanish and English until 8 p.m. Students and parents are invited to ask questions of the experts presenting. The agenda includes:
